Story ran on Sept 5 so the family is still upset.
Photo of TN soldier’s widow leads to misleading internet meme
Stop posting that picture of the widow next to the coffin as if it is Lea.
I know I asked dozens of people to take it down and many didn’t and I still see it pop up once in a awhile.
Don’t post and if you see it tell them to delete it.
Okay, I know I don’t generally post text posts, and over the past few months I haven’t really posted anything, but I want to reach out to the Tumblr family and ask for prayers.
This is my dear sweet friend, Julia. I was beyond blessed to have the opportunity to work at Winshape camp for Girls at Mount Berry. We served together for just two and a half short months, but I can honestly call her a sister.
Last Sunday, August 4, she was in her car to leave Peachtree City when she realized she had left something in her dad’s house. She got out of the car, but forgot to put it in park. The car began to roll down a hill in her dad’s neighborhood and Julia raced to get in and stop it. The police believe she accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the break, and she was pinned between the car door and a tall fire hydrant. She was able to honk the horn for help and a neighbor heard and called 911. When the paramedics arrived, Julia had gone into cardiac arrest and no longer had a pulse. They were able to revive her, and she was put in a medically induced coma for two days. The last update I heard was on Wednesday night. They had taken Julia out of the coma, and all organs were functioning, but there was no brain activity.
Friends and fellow believers, I now ask that you join me in prayer. We are in need of a miracle. Please pray boldly for healing. Pray for her family in this time of hurt and uncertainty. Pray for her friends, sorority sisters, classmates, and teachers who are heading back to school while sweet Julia’s life still hangs in the balance.
But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. James 1: 6-8
Friends. We need your prayers. Julia needs your prayers. Our God IS able.
